Psychological Assessment

Assessment is like putting a jigsaw puzzle set together

To assess your current functioning in areas, such as, cognitive, academic, social development, behavioral, emotional regulation, and personality, I provide comprehensive assessments that are based on clinical interviews, standardized assessments, behavioral observation, and self-report assessments. I also include sources from teachers, parents, and spouses in order to better understand the presenting problem.

Assessments can also be used to identify whether your child is gifted and should be considered for specific enrichment programs at school.

All evaluations are tailored to address your specific needs. The goal of the assessment is to get a better understanding of areas of strengths and weaknesses in order to create interventions that will lead to improved psychological and emotional functioning at school, work, and play.

Just to name a few, I have experience assessing the following conditions:

  • Attention-deficit Hyperactivity Disorder in children and adults
  • Specific Learning Disorder
  • Gifted Testing
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Intellectual Disability
  • Oppositional Defiant Disorder
  • Alzheimer's/Memory Difficulties
  • Mood Disorders (Depression, Anxiety, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, Bipolar)
  • Schizophrenia
  • Somatic Disorder
  • Substance-related and Addictive Behaviors
  • Personality Disorder

Along with the evaluation, I provide a thorough report and a feedback session to discuss the meaning of the results and the associated recommendations.
